Job Title: Associate ScientistJob Description

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join our team in a fully on-site position. The ideal candidate will have experience with Protein Purification, including Affinity HPLC Akta, and preferably Mammalian Cell Expression. A degree in Biochemistry is highly preferred. Responsibilities include performing experiments, organizing data, and analyzing results under minimal supervision. The candidate will also monitor experiments, develop protocols, engage in scientific discussions, and contribute to reports and regulatory documents.

Hard Skills

• Protein purification and characterization (affinity column purification; AKTA/FPLC; SDS-PAGE/western blot)

• Use of standard laboratory equipment

• Experience in a Biopharmaceutical working environment

• Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry

Soft Skills

• Ability to follow established laboratory protocols and adhere to data standards

• Attention to detail and careful execution of laboratory tasks

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to effectively troubleshoot equipment and experimental difficulties

• Skilled at developing systems to ensure quality data

• Engages coworkers in scientific discussions

• Effective transfer of experimental methods from literature to the lab

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 52 Weekly.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in South San Francisco, California.
