Job Summary:

The position will report to the Sky Deck General Manager and assist in Lodge Oversight ensuring operations are run safely, efficiently and cost effectively while exceeding customer service expectations at this local’s favorite on mountain location.

Job Specifications:

  • Outlet: Sky Deck

  • Expected Pay Range: The budgeted range starts at $25.00 - $28.94. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.

  • Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time / Seasonal

  • Skill Level: Advanced

  • Other Specifics:

  • Ski to location must be able to pass a blue ski/ride test

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with Lodge General Manager to ensure the restaurant operates at all times with a high level of service and product quality.

  • Coordinates efforts of all food & beverage BOH & FOH employees; develops a top performing team through innovative recruiting, continual training, creative shared staffing solutions and consistent feedback

  • Assures completion of all necessary paperwork as needed on a daily basis. POS Reconciliation, 360intel Kitchen Audit , Facility Check List, Daily Payroll Accuracy, Coupa ordering system, Safety Meetings, assisting other lodge culinary operations with training and slight oversite.

  • Embrace the search for innovation and change, and implement these changes to exceed our guests’ expectations and company goals.

  • Maximize profitability by managing lodge operations to budgeted labor and cost of sales margins using available reporting, scheduling, ordering and control policies & systems.

  • Overall lodge/restaurant & location cleanliness, including snow removal.

  • Inspection of quality of food product received and served at the lodge. Working with the FB Warehouse in conjunction with ordering.

  • Maintains adequate inventory levels of all products according to business levels.

  • Ability to hold staff accountable to Vail Resorts policies, procedures and performance standards.

  • Maintain a Safe environment and keeps location compliant with all Health and Safety requirements while creating and maintaining a culture of safety at all times.

  • We are a company that works together; and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years Management/Supervisory experience in a high volume Food and Beverage environment

  • Intermediate or better computer skills; working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook

  • Exceptional communication skills, guest service and team building abilities

  • CA state food handlers permit, Serve Safe Certified Required

  • Rserve Certification Required

  • Must be available holidays & weekends

  • Ability to attend work in winter weather environment

  • Skiing or Riding Intermediate Level Ability Required

The expected pay range is $25.00 - $28.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
