Boston's Best Coffee Roasters Bookkeeper (Part-time) in South Easton, Massachusetts

Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant - part time role This is a part time role comprising about 20-25 hours per week. Boston\'s Best Coffee Roasters is seeking a qualified candidate to perform various accounting and bookkeeping duties in our South Easton office. This individual would report to the Controller and be responsible for several different aspect of the business: General Ledger Accounting - This individual would be responsible for assisting the Controller with various tasks throughout the month, including assisting with the month end close. This would include calculating and posting month end journal entries and reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts. This individual would also be responsible for preparing various reports for review by management. Smaller entities - This individual would be responsible for the bookkeeping for several smaller related entities. This could include recording activity, reconciling bank accounts, writing checks, filing payroll and sales tax returns, etc... Amazon sales - This individual would be responsible for downloading, sorting, and preparing a schedule of Amazon sales for Accounts Receivable to post on a weekly basis. Inventory - This individual would be responsible for assisting with the quarterly physical inventory count and for assisting with filling out inventory sheets to tally final inventory. This includes transcribing hand-written inventory sheets into excel. Miscellaneous - This individual would be responsible for any miscellaneous tasks needed by the Controller and owners, which could include filing or going to the RMV and/or post office on occasion. Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable- In addition, this individual would be responsible for cross training in our accounts receivable and accounts payable departments. This would include learning the job duties in these departments so that they would assist when other employees are out on vacations or sick time. Experience: Excel: 5 years - proficiency with excel is a requirement for this position - this individual would use excel on a daily basis and need to be comfortable with sum, sort and subtotal functions, among others. Bookkeeping: 5 years General Ledger: 3 years (required) Experience with Sage accounting software a plus.
