Duty Location: Sonora, California Responsibilities As a building repair worker with the Bureau of Reclamation, Central California Area Office, your duties might include: Constructing, altering, and repairing items such as building foundations, framework, roofing, siding, windows and doors. Making repairs that can be accomplished by removing, adjusting, or replacing defective or worn parts and components. Building and installing customized cabinetry, counters, bookcases, and/or work platforms. Performing general maintenance and repair on existing utilities, such as compressed air systems, ventilation systems, water closets, water heaters, and related valves and pumps. Preparing surfaces for coating and applying premixed materials and basic brushing and spraying techniques to surfaces related to civil maintenance. Using and maintaining a variety of hand tools and power tools. Performing other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
