Specialty Clinician - Child and Youth Clinician

Are you looking for a rewarding career as a clinician? Come work for our Behavioral Health Services Division at Riverside Community Care!

Provides clinical intervention to at-risk youth and families at the Somerville Outpatient Center, in the community, and via Telehealth. Provide direct clinical assessment and clinical intervention for child, adolescent, young adult, and adult individuals of the program. Offer support and family therapy to youth and their families. Develop service plans with person served, including periodic reviews of treatment plan. This vital position provides a mix of telehealth and clinic based services.

The Clinician is responsible for providing general administrative assistance to Riverside consumers and clinic staff, including:

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations, including developing treatment plans and goals in collaboration with the person served.

  • Collaborate with treatment team and other providers to establish treatment plan and disposition.

  • Provide direct therapeutic intervention.

  • Maintain regular communication with treatment team and collateral providers/case managers/school personnel as necessary. This may include attending planning or case management meetings regarding person served members.

  • Involve families in evaluation, treatment planning and on-going treatment to the degree agreed upon with person served.

  • Provide crisis management for person served on caseload and other outpatient center clients as necessary.

  • Maintain confidentiality of clinical records and privileged person served information in conformity with state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Maintain a professional work environment with attention to person served and staff health and safety, by maintaining safety protocols, alerting management to unsafe conditions, etc.

  • Assume additional administrative and/or clinical responsibility consistent with program needs and staff role, as defined in consultation with the Program Director.

    Schedule: Full Time, Tuesday through Saturday

    Salary Range: $60,000/unlicensed and $63,000/independent licensure

Required Skills

  • Intermediate-Advanced computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and electronic health record system, required.

  • Must be able to work as a member of a team and to function independently.

  • Must meet all requirements leading to an active professional license in the individual’s professional discipline, including, but not limited to, continuing education, ethical requirements, etc.

Required Experience

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling required.

  • Must have Independent licensure or be on track for independent licensure in the state of MA.

  • Experience or willingness to be trained in evidence-based practices required

  • One year of experience specific to the clinician’s training and expertise required.

  • Must be Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) certified
