Job Summary

The Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing internal and external communications strategies for Talent Acquisition (TA), and the broader Human Resources (HR) function for Terumo Medical Corporation and Terumo Americas Holding, Inc. The individual will create compelling multi-media content that drives engagement and growth across our corporate social media channels. Will be responsible for the planning and implementation of TA and HR-related marketing and branding programs, working closely with HR leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure our communication efforts align with our overall objectives and corporate communication guidelines while capturing Terumo’s culture, mission and core values.

Job Details/Responsibilities

  • Develop and roll out communication strategies to drive the corporate message and advise HR leadership and Associates on all aspects of communication.

  • Develop and implement internal and external content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term HR/TA goals and initiatives, creating consistencies amongst internal and external social media and career sites.

  • Develop, maintain and update company’s online presence by creating engaging and compelling high quality, visually appealing content, including text, images, videos and graphics for various social platforms.

  • Stay current with trends and platform updates to optimize content for maximum reach and engagement.

  • Craft engaging and concise copy that captures the audience’s attention and conveys the message effectively. Tailor the tone and style of writing to match each channel audience.

  • Create visually appealing graphics, infographics and illustrations to complement posts and enhance their visual appeal.

  • Where appropriate, respond to company reviews and feedback on employer review sites.

  • Develop, record, edit, upload, and manage video content on internal and external sites.

  • Utilize content management systems to review Key Performance Indicators and analyze social media channel traffic and user engagement metrics, assessing the impact of content marketing initiatives.

  • Create a focused digital content roadmap and editorial calendar that ensures communication campaigns stay on track.

  • Collaborate with corporate communications team to ensure brand consistency.

  • Create, communicate and drive the narrative (brand) around core values, culture, and associate experience.

  • Ensure all materials or ads created are routed, reviewed and approved by Legal and Regulatory as mandated by the company’s quality procedure. Adhere to Terumo’s Social Media Policy and demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Work with Marketing Communications and HR/TA teams to ensure all posted content is consistently updated and in-line with HR strategic direction. This will be accomplished with solicitation of direct input from current customers, business partners, and associates.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, InDesign) and Canva.

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Adept at Social media platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube; creating content, videos, and reels to advertise and market Terumo.

  • Knowledge of web traffic metrics and best practices.

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and listening.

  • Creative and innovative communicator.

  • Demonstrate speed, agility, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Media, Public Relations, Digital Marketing, Graphic Communication, or other related discipline.

  • Minimum of four years of communications, branding and/or social media strategy/digital content experience, ideally in a regulated environment, required or equivalent combination of education and relevant prior work experience.

  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.

  • Experience with SEM Rush, HootSuite, or any similar social media management software is preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in web and digital media (digital video design, digital photography, digital publishing systems, digital file preparation).
