Saint-Gobain Global Product Stewardship Specialist - Life Sciences, Manufacturing - Remote, USA in SOLON, Ohio

The Global Product Stewardship Specialist proactively ensures & provides guidance around the compliance of our products manufactured across our global footprint within Life Sciences, in accordance with the key global regulatory frameworks and requirements , including Quality, Environmental, SOP-FLS-CORP-0045 & SOP-FLS-CORP-0069.

Supports system implementation, maintenance, upgrades and process improvements in accordance with the scheduled roll-outs for 3E Exchange:

  • Implements the Product Stewardship software (3E Exchange) in the sites. Supports the sites to gather/prepare the data for the implementation. Works with IT to ensure site appropriately set up within system. Monitors progress and works to address/resolve any issues/challenges.

  • Acts as the system-owner for the Product Stewardship software (3E Exchange) and serves as primary point of contact with the software’s vendor. Verifies the accuracy and consistency of the data and monitors progress.

  • Ensures the applicable reporting to the Only Representatives, ECHA, TSCA, EPA and appropriate authorities. Supports regulatory submissions to appropriate government agency.

Provides on-going Training & Development of the teams for all Life Sciences locations globally.

  • Facilitates education & product stewardship support to/for SG's raw materials & components suppliers and internal teams.

  • Offers training on product stewardship regulations, product claims, and other topics; Hosts regulatory coffee chats to the business

  • Participates in the regulatory intelligence for Product Stewardship

Supports manufacturing sites & R&D, globally, with Product Steward Advisement in all stages of Innovation.

  • Supports the sites in answering escalated Product Stewardship questions

  • Supports R&D and Application Engineering teams in assessing the product stewardship compliance of the new products

  • Collaborates on the preparation or revision of product related documentation concerning Product Stewardship (RIO, Datasheets, Statements…).

Monitors the external standards updates.

  • Maintains the list of external standards (SOP-FLS-CORP-0069 and associated subscriptions

  • Monitors the external standards

  • Communicates the need of gap assessment to the SME

Bachelor of Science Degree within Chemistry, Engineering, or Related field; Required.--

Certified Professional Product Steward (CPPS); Preferred.--

5+ years experience - Progressive experience within key manufacturing roles (i.e. supporting engineering design/product innovations in Quality and EHS) and with Product Stewardship & Regulatory accountabilities; Required.--

2+ years experience working within regulated industry, such as life sciences (i.e. pharma, bioparm, F&B or medical device), within a direct Product Stewardship role/capacity; Preferred.-

Previous experience with use of a Product Stewardship software (ie. 3E Exchange, Assent, etc.); Required.--

Previous experience implementing a new software; Preferred.--

Travel up to 25%; primarily throughout US footprint during system implementations; Required.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $87,500 to $135,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $98,000 to $151,760. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
