Aston Carter Deployment Specialist in Solon, Ohio

Description:

Primary responsibilities:

• Make experience based and data driven decisions that aim to minimize service risk in scenarios with imperfect solutions.

• Communicate regional inventory gaps to internal/external stakeholders and be accountable for service results.

• Be a key advocate for smooth flow of supply and drive transparency when supply is constrained.

• Push end to end collaboration and continuous improvement in areas that affect supply, service or waste.

• Daily review of event exceptions that impact short term inventory projections such as:

-o late incubation release

-o loads in the past

-o in-transits in the past

Follow up with key cross functional teams to resolve event exceptions and reduce future event exceptions.

• Reconcile and confirm dispatch plans. Adjust dispatch plans where needed to account for redeployment decisions, possible spoilage, rebalancing inventory levels, production planning variance, or aging of stock.

• Work closely with Factory and Transportation teams to ensure production deployment is completed timely and reduces need for future re-deployment.

• Ensure supply moves fit within short term DC/Factory/Warehouse space and throughput capacity. React to current capacity constraints by prioritizing inventory moves, reducing truckloads, pushing out supply moves all while solving for service.

• Make decisions on inventory movement that maximizes supply payload. Build and optimize truckloads using system tools to improve payload while maintaining target service levels. Research examples where payload is not met to identify root cause and drive improvement.

• Identify the need to expedite inventory movement and facilitate process with cross functional partners.

• Build Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) according to aligned cut-off times

• Check Available To Promise (ATP) inventory and confirm inventory to STO Delivery Notes according to aligned cut-off times

• Coordinate the deployment of semi-finished product (SFP) from Nestle distribution centers/contract warehouses to Nestle plants/co-manufacturers in support of plant master production schedules. (where applicable)

• Execute on direction received from DRP on moves for potential salvage waste or specific moves to help solve for capacity.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Requirements and minimum education level:

• College degree or equivalent experience preferred (Supply Chain, Logistics or other major)

• Must have ability to work well with others and demonstrate desire to collaborate team environment.

Experience:

• Previous supply chain work experience is preferred!

• Demonstrated experience collaborating well with members of the team.

• Demonstrated ability to focus with limited distraction and work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, time management.

• Excellent verbal and written skills.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel and word.

• Familiar with SAP, preferred.
