nVent Automation Operator - 1st shift in Solon, Ohio

Key job responsibilities
Assist setup and operate multiple pieces of automated equipment
Move materials using a lift truck or crane
Install and check safety devices as needed
Report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to supervisor
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition
Perform other related duties as assigned which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs
Education & Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D
Minimum of 1 year production work experience preferred
Experience operating an RF scanner and related software
Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to make informed decisions
Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced; multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines
Must be self-motivated, safety and quality conscious, and work efficiently with minimal supervision
Heavy lifting required (50 plus lbs).
Lift truck operator experience required.
Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Other
Must be able to work overtime on short notice and be able to maintain a flexible work schedule as demand dictates.
Must have a good attendance record.
