Discover Impactful Work:

The Finance Analyst I performs financial analysis and prepares accurate, transparent and timely financial reports to support leadership in the decision making process.

A day in the Life:

  • Collects, analyzes and interprets complex financial and operating data for assigned business units and/or corporate functions.

  • Provides decision support to business leadership through the creation of tools, models, presentations, and dashboards.

  • Prepares reports and analyses in support of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and ongoing financial activities.

  • Serves as a finance business partner and prepares forecasts and budgets for assigned business units and/or functional areas.

  • Performs complex variance analysis and investigates irregularities; make recommendations to correct inaccuracies.

  • Makes recommendations on process improvements to improve efficiency.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Experience

  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’ experience)

  • In some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Solid understanding of accounting/financial principles, and regulations/legal requirements

  • Ability to function as an effective partner to internal clients

  • Solid analytical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively

  • Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data
