Meta Camera Perception Engineer in Sofia, Bulgaria

Summary:

Meta Reality Labs is seeking for an experienced and highly skilled Image Quality/Camera Perception Engineer to join our team. As a key member of the camera systems engineering group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing image quality and camera tuning for our cutting-edge products.

Required Skills:

Camera Perception Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement 3A (auto-exposure, auto-white balance, auto-focus) and ISP tuning strategies to optimize image quality and camera performance

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to ensure seamless integration of image of quality and camera features into our product

  3. Design and execute test procedures to validate image quality and camera performance, based on specific tuning parameters

  4. Analyze and interpret data from various sources, including sensor data, image data, and user feedback, to inform design decisions and optimize system performance

  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and user manuals

  6. Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

  7. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for software development

  8. Work closely with QA and Test teams to identify and resolve image quality and camera issues

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  2. 4+ years of experience in image quality and camera engineering, computer vision, or a related field

  3. Experience in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB

  4. Knowledge of computer vision libraries and frameworks, such as OpenCV or TensorFlow

  5. Knowledge of image processing and machine learning techniques, including object detection, tracking, and recognition

  6. Experience with camera systems, including lens design, sensor selection, and image signal processing

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  2. Experience with deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch or Keras

  3. Knowledge of camera calibration and synchronization techniques

  4. Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems

  5. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
