Accounting Manager – Technical Glass Products – Snoqualmie, WA (Hybrid)

Accounting Manager

Allegion is currently looking for a self-starter who is willing to roll their sleeves up and dive into the details to drive change in our fast growing and changing company. This position is a great opportunity to use your technical financial skills, along with working cross-functionally with many different departments. You will need to think broadly, be curious, use data to drive decision making and be comfortable challenging the status quo. This role reports directly to the Controller for Technical Glass Products in the Door & Windows Business Unit. This role is responsible for the monthly accounting close process for TGP business with manufacturing sites in Washington, Ohio, and sales office in Canada. This role should drive consistent, accurate financial reporting while maintaining a strong control environment.

What You Will Do:

• Responsible for month-end accounting close activities including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations and submission of the standard trial balance to yield timely and accurate financial information.

• Serve as a well-respected business partner and financial resource, with frequent partnership with manufacturing, supply chain management, project management, sales, and IT

• Perform financial analysis on drivers of business performance, including productivity, inflation, and cash flow; suggest actions for improving business performance

• Support Controller with submission of forecasts, annual operating plans, and other deliverables and ad hoc analyses.

• Support annual standard setting process, perform cost rolls of inventory and investigate deviations from standards

• Manage the Accounts Payable team with accurate and timely payments

• Serve as plant SOX Site Coordinator. Leads a team to effectively meet, review and test requirements. Responsible for the location’s compliance with SOX requirements. Create mitigating action plans if control risks exist

• Accountable for intercompany accounting including settlement of intercompany receivables and payables into banking portal

• Analyze and evaluate adequacies of general ledger reserves.

• Ensure the integrity of all data reported and compliance with all controls and accounting policies.

• Partner with the business to implement process control strategies around functional areas and IT systems, specifically focused on process simplification, automation, standardization, and internal control enhancements.

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s Degree-Finance or Accounting would be preferred

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience including general ledger.

• Proficient with utilizing technology, such as Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel - VLookup, XLookup, Pivot tables, Sumif, IF, etc.), Hyperion (HFM), Microsoft D365 Finance and Operations

• Maintain high level of attention to detail, prioritization, and multi-task in faced-paced environment.

• Audit experience preferred, SOX, etc.

• Experience with project leadership.

• Business partnership experience.

• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to travel 5%. Some business travel expected.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Salary Range: $105,000 to $125,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
