What you’ll do:

The Indirect Country Buyer will be responsible for driving the implementation of business solutions for Indirect EMEA programs and strategies in UK. This role will have good local market knowledge of Indirect suppliers, and market pricing. He /she will also leverage "One Eaton" across all Eaton entities/businesses operating across the countries and spend in scope. The position will be accountable for the cost out performance for the indirect spend in scope. They will be responsible to select suppliers for all Indirect categories, where no strategic supplier exists. Also, will be key in the relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton’s purchases and reduce costs across defined scope.

Job Responsibilities

• Where suitable regional solutions / supplier partners exist, focus will be in change management, implementation & compliance. Where regional solutions do not exist, focus will be determining suitable local solutions that align to meeting local site needs whilst delivering required productivity & service levels.

• Drives, the execution and implementation of regional commodity strategies along the line of established MSA with Suppliers, ensuring most effective TCO is in place

• Support Category Manager on a defined list of Strategic EMEA projects – which implementation might extend beyond country or site scope

• Provide Sourcing guidance based on business needs for the deployment of tools and processes that enable the integration of Spend in the portfolio of Central Indirect Team

• Evaluates, benchmarks and selects suitable local suppliers if needed, to identify and generate significant productivity improvements and savings, whilst reducing overall supply base.

• Working with Indirect Commodity Managers in creating long term local or regional supplier agreements & relationships that lead to optimal price reductions, quality improvements, process improvements and on time delivery performance

• Driving implementation, cost out projects and supplier Ideas program, negotiates problem resolution activities between Suppliers and Internal Customers through to successful project execution.

• Consolidate and leverage spend across the Indirect categories in UK to drive cost out efficiency, whilst reducing the supply base."

Qualifications:

  • Engineering or Business administration degree is preferable.

  • Min 5 Years experience in SCM is essential

Skills:

  • Having an Indirect procurement experience is an advantage, manufacturing environment preferred, good knowledge and experience of UK market is essential.

  • Being efficient on negotiation, having leadership skills in communication and being service oriented is a must.
