Job Summary

Responsible for assisting with the Management and supervision of FS Department in the Security area. Manages and supervises on a day-to-day basis the overall operation of hospital security services. Assist the director with the overall management of the department.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required.

  • Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
