MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Secures property and facility.

• Locks and unlocks facility doors.

• Conducts routine property walks. Inspects premises for signs of intrusion or tampering. Tour facility, examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure.

• Interacts with the public and all levels of management and fellow employees.

• Secures the safety of all individuals on the premises.

• Works independently and judges and assesses situations for immediate response.

• Monitors security systems and cameras .

• Notifies appropriate members of management or emergency systems when necessary.

• Completes incident reports and logs as required.

• Responds immediately to emergency situations – answer alarms and investigate disturbances.

• Keep a record of all keys and equipment that is signed out.

• Work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to work irregular hours including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.

• Good decision making and problem-solving skills.

• Will be subject to acceptable background check.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have some knowledge of computers including Microsoft suite. Additional computer training will be provided for advanced software platforms.

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma or GED

• One year of security experience in a similar environment preferred.
