Retail Pharmacy:

Position Highlights:

• Retail technician based at Avera McKennan Campus Pharmacy, with infrequent opportunities to float for planned shifts to three other Avera retail pharmacies in Sioux Falls

• Perform a variety of technician tasks based on site that includes: data entry, third party claims adjudication, production/dispensing, medication delivery to patient bedside, and point-of-sale service for OTC and prescription sales

• No evenings or nights; schedule provided approximately one month in advance, Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:30 pm; Every 3 rd to 4 th Sat/Sun 9:00 am- 5:00 pm

• Fast-paced, customer-facing retail pharmacy

• Direct Patient Care

• Collaboration with other members of healthcare team (nurses, case management, social work, doctors)

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Completion of Pharmacy Technician Technical Program preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registrations

• Certified Pharmacy Technician by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), National Health career Association (EXCPT) or other approved pharmacy certification program required.

• Registration with the South Dakota Board of Pharmacy required within 30 days of employment required.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

• $18.50 – $25.75 per hour
