Description :

A Sioux Falls based company has an immediate opening for a belt fabricator/installer. You will perform various tasks involved in the production of conveyor belt fabrication for a variety of industries. This individual will read blueprints and use hand and power tools to complete work orders. This position requires basic math skills for the ability to read and understand a tape measure. This is a shop position during the winter and requires travel during the summer. The company pays for hotel rooms, food, and per diem while you're on the road. While traveling, you will also receive a $10/hour increase to your hourly wage. We are looking for candidates local to Sioux Falls, SD. This is not a 100% travel position as you will be working in the shop during the winter months fabricating belts.

Pay:

• $21 to $24/hour working in the shop

• Company paid meals and hotel

• $35-50/day per diem

Responsibilities:

Fabrication:

• Read and interpret work orders and drawings

• Understand how to cut regular and step cut rolls per cut sheet provided

• Operate large slitters to accurately slit belts to desired width and length

• Hand slit belts as needed

• Understand the various types of glues and cleaners to use for the type of belt and application being used

• Basic rigging operations with crane

Installation:

• Basic installation of rubber belting

• Work with installation lead to ensure job meets schedule

• Provide effective and timely onsite support for customers

• Keep tools and hardware storage area organized
