Abbott Product Manager in Singapore, Singapore

Primary Function:

  • To develop annual marketing plans and coordinate their successful implementation and to grow and achieve both short- and long-term sales, profit and market share position for assigned products in our Abbott Nutrition business.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual brand plan to drive brand growth objectives – defining marketing objectives, strategies, 360degree marketing activation plans in collaboration with the cross functional teams culminating in the annualized brand charter.

  • Participate in annual and quarterly budget Plan/ Update cycles for the products

  • Monthly demand planning process for the brands in charge – working with sales, supply chain team, identify potential supply issues, and develop contingency plans.

  • Achieve forecast accuracy and NPI KPI targets.

  • Portfolio management - Assess competitive standing of product portfolio, launch of NPI, upgrade necessities and opportunities, channel opportunities and discontinuation of existing non-strategic/ unprofitable products.

  • Drive the monthly category review meetings working with cross functional partners to review monthly and YTD performance, on sales, share, marketing and promotional activities, new user acquisition and retention and other KPIs on the brand charter.

  • Ability to straddle a range of capabilities – ethical marketing, consumer marketing (CRM, digital, ecommerce) in an environment that is governed by strong regulations and portfolios driven by strong nutrition science and clinical heritage.

  • Develop, implement, and update product training to sales force (ethical, CRM and trade teams including promoters) on an ongoing basis.

  • Run the annual media planning process with agency and then monthly, fortnightly reviews of media performance.

  • Monthly A&P management

  • Ensure all business activities comply with the relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards.

  • Review complaints and suggestions relating to assigned products.

  • Support Business Excellence recertification and sustain business excellence standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business Marketing

  • Minimum 5 years of product marketing experience, preferably in the FMCG or nutrition industry

  • Good knowledge of computer-based programs including spreadsheets and graphics.

  • Must be proficient in verbal and written communication.

  • Must be driven, a team player and possess strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
