As a Power BI Reporting Lead, you will spearhead our efforts to transform and elevate our data visualization and reporting capabilities. Your expertise in Power BI, coupled with your experience in report migration, will be instrumental in guiding our organization through the transition from various platforms to Power BI. You will lead a team dedicated to creating insightful, dynamic reports and dashboards that empower decision-makers with real-time data.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.

  • Lead the migration of reports from other BI tools (such as Tableau, Qlik, Excel, etc.) to Power BI, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Establish and enforce best practices for Power BI report development, including data modeling, data blending, and visualizations.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Power BI team, including training and mentorship.

  • Collaborate with IT and data management teams to ensure seamless data integration and compliance with data governance standards.

  • Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features and updates, evaluating and implementing them to enhance our reporting capabilities.

  • Manage the Power BI service, including workspace administration, report publishing, and user access management.

  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports to ensure fast load times and a smooth user experience.

  • Document all report migration processes and develop guidelines for future migrations.

Skills and experiences:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis and report development, with at least 6 years focused on Power BI.

  • Proven experience in migrating reports from other BI platforms to Power BI, including knowledge of different migration tools and techniques.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and DAX.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts or developers.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with data governance and compliance requirements.

  • Familiarity with Power BI administration and workspace management.
