This role is responsible for driving sustainable sales growth and business profitability through strategic distribution partnerships in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Main responsibilities:

1. Lead and Negotiate with Distributors:

  • Lead daily and monthly business discussions with distributors, monitoring performance, trends, and insights.

  • Initiate and collaborate with distributors on activities to understand and challenge sell-out performance, identifying opportunities and risks.

  • Provide insightful inputs during business reviews and planning sessions to ensure sell-out growth and sustainability.

  • Negotiate business targets and manage pay-for-performance rebates with distributors.

2. Cross-Functional Team Leadership:

  • Coordinate cross-functional working teams to ensure excellent business routines, demand forecasts, and supply integration.

  • Drive continuous improvement in ways of working, learning from past experiences to ensure business results and forecast accuracy.

  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and Monthly Sales and Demand Meetings with distributors, capturing insights and challenging action plans.

  • Oversee performance data measurement and reporting for distributors and the Sanofi team.

3. Guardian of Distribution Agreements (DA):

  • Ensure precise interpretation and execution of DAs across commercial and non-commercial aspects.

  • Own the business governance model, driving processes, procedures, and documents related to DA and amendments.

  • Act as the key contact for DA interpretation and execution.

  • Assist the Country Head in negotiations for new or amended DA terms, providing clear proposals and rationales.

  • Participate in projects such as new product development, distributor bidding, DA negotiations, renewals, business continuity, or crisis management.

4 . Develop Relationships with Key Stakeholders :

  • Exercise peer leadership across functions and countries to gain support and effective collaboration within Sanofi internal teams.

  • Build rapport with distributors and relevant stakeholders to strengthen partnerships.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Excellent English communication skills: Cantonese is a plus.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in multinational companies, preferably in consumer goods, with a proven performance record and increasing responsibilities.

  • Minimum 5 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong experience in managing distributors, key accounts, or large customers with Joint Business Plans (JBPs).

  • Understanding of P&L, distributor/KA business motivations, sales, marketing, trade marketing, or project management.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, working with regional stakeholders, and cross-country experience is a plus.

  • Strong business acumen, analytical and strategic thinking, and execution insights.

  • Ability to manage conflicts, deal with complex issues, and handle a diversity of people.

  • Relationship-building, influencing, and strong negotiation skills.
