Job Description:
The APAC Region Brokerage Analyst (Customs and Trade Compliance, CTC) supports both internal and external customers navigating international trade compliantly. He/She supports the identification of customs clearance requirements and helps brokerage maintain compliance with cross-border regulatory requirements. He/She shall be the coordinator on CTC Internal Audit Programs and any ad-hoc audits. He/She also liaises with the Commercial team to ensure shipping compliance. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities
Supports on Research of Cross Border Regulatory Requirements
Research on Customs and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) regulations.
Works with Country Brokerage Operations to analyze the regulations’ requirements.
Supports on Internal Audit Programs and Ad-Hoc Audits
Reviews audit workpapers completed by country brokerage operations. Ensure that the workpaper is completed with high quality and on a timely basis.
Supports the CTC team on any ad-hoc audits.
Supports on Shipper Compliance Program
Liaises with destination Brokerage Operations teams and Sales on ensuring shippers’ compliance performance.
Provides guidelines on adhering cross border compliance requirements.
Supports on CTC Reporting
Supports the CTC team on producing monthly reports, such as Brokerage Compliance Dashboard, Customs / OGA Seizures and Shipper Compliance Program.
Assists the CTC team on automating reporting activities.
Other Administration Works
- Supports APAC Region Brokerage on administrative activities.
Requirements
Possess a Degree in International Trade, Business Administration or related fields.
Customs Brokerage license and/or training certification is advantageous and preferred.
Possessing 1-2 years of experience in a customs and trade compliance role is a plus.
Demonstrate strong project management skills and good presentation/communications skills.
