Job Description
The FX Business Manager role is a senior level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of the Sales & Trading business. These tasks may include managing external/internal audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Manager may coordinate and manage ad hoc projects and initiatives, tracking business financials and other administrative needs as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Assist Business Heads/Chief Operating Officer teams in promoting Risk and Controls culture
Stakeholder engagement to resolve operational risk issues, as well as remediation planning. Help investigate issues, perform root cause analysis and work with Business and partners in Operations, Technology, liaising with Compliance and Legal where necessary
Lead and coordinate internal and external audits
Review regulatory requirements, produce reports, implement new process or execute relevant controls where necessary.
Participate in ad-hoc projects around automation and reduction of manual touchpoints to enhance Risk and Control environment
Participate in leadership meetings to update on Risk/Control metrics, and make recommendations for achieving desired impact
Identify and develop performance measurement content for management presentations, enhance strategy awareness with employees
Responsible for leading managing employee logistics around Trading/Sales/Trading floor activity and construct and deliver internal business messaging.
Assist traders and sales in preparing review materials for weekly PnL reviews with Traders and Sales functions
Develop presentation materials in conjunction with Manila based CSC team to monitor key Risk and Control metrics
Take on responsibilities within larger projects and report on performance and achievement back to the project manager and or the business sponsor. Manage the implementation of new product capabilities.
Ensure headcount is accurate, real estate is inventoried and planned, and onboarding and termination of resources are managed
Drive productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in a financial services role
Experience in Business Management or in a support function covering a Markets product is preferred
Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry
Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
