As the ASEA Market Insights Manager within the ASEA Brand & Innovation Team, you will support market research activities (primary) within ASEA translating the business questions into actionable insights based on high quality research learnings.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISED RESOURCES (Sales, budget, headcount…)

  • Budget : Market research budget of ASEA Zone

  • Internal Stakeholders:

  • ASEA Zone Team across ASEA markets

  • CHC global CMI Community

  • Business Partners (Procurement, Legal, Finance)

  • External Stakeholders:

  • Primary Market Research Agencies (e.g. Ipsos, Kantar, Nielsen)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Handle CMI activities within ASEA zone across all CHC Categories, with focus on non-global brands. This will include

  • Ensuring the appropriate use of harmonized global methodologies identified by the global CHC CMI community as well as identifying the best in class approaches for all studies

  • Ensuring that all primary market research projects are conducted in accordance to the Sanofi market research process as well as PV compliant.

  • Managing the external research partners to ensure successful delivery of CMI projects that will provide quality, actionable consumer insights on time and on budget

  • Identifying key insights from the project and sharing executive summaries to engage zonal leadership team.

  • Support Globally initiated studies in lead country for the global brands to enable local specific needs are reflected into the planning and to drive locally relevant impications

  • Provide meta-analysis of existing researches as well as secondary data to build a comprehensive understanding of categories and brands.

  • Be the custodian of all market research reports for the zone and ensure existing learnings effectively to be shared across ASEA members

  • Work closely with ASAE Zone Team (B&I, P&A, Science Hub, Trade and Revenue and E-Commerce) to understand key brand challenges in ASEA and craft solutions from CMI POV.

ABOUT YOU

  • Possesses a bachelor’s degree required in business / marketing / statistics

  • Approx. 6-7 years of experience in market research for consumer business (either in market research function of client company or in market research provider)

  • Experience to regional project or regional responsibility

  • Experience to brand / product marketing experience is a plus

  • Experience of managing external agencies

  • Good understanding of various type of market research methodologies and insight generation process and its application to the business (brand tracking, new product development, U&A, advertising, exploratory research, social listening, etc.)

Core Competencies:

  • Exceptional planning and project management

  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable digging under the surface to uncover insights, reach logical conclusions and recommend actions back to the business in a compelling way. Data visualisation skills (Excel Macro, Qlikview, SPSS, SAS, Desktop Reporter, Tableau) is a plus

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written) to drive insights and actions across brands

  • Solid track record of inspiring brand and consumer action based on fact-based driven insights

  • Successful team player and external supplier management experience
