THE TEAM
The Production Planning team within Product Discovery & Promotion (PDP) Operations architects, manages, and enhances creative production workflows and partnerships for Netflix's global promotional campaigns. We leverage deep experience and curiosity to continually challenge and innovate the industry's approach to promotional asset creation, adapting as the business evolves.
THE ROLE
Each Production Planner has extensive experience in promotional production and a passion for creative processes. Our knowledge is rooted in the step by step details that our operationally minded team can use to effectively inform Netflix’ broader business strategies. As such, we are subject matter experts with deep curiosity and meticulous attention to detail. Together, we build and manage globally-scaled, high-volume production pipelines for Netflix. We are constantly challenging the status quo, reconstructing how our broader organization works across every discipline with the unending ambition of driving high-quality output more efficiently for the business as a whole.
As a Production Planner, your extensive experience in promotional production and passion for creative processes will be crucial. You must have deep curiosity and meticulous attention to detail. You will lead multiple internal and external promotional artwork workflows and partnerships across APAC, acting as the ‘Head of Production’ for various teams, experiments, and projects. This role is based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities :
Initiative Leadership : Identify, envision, and implement promotional artwork strategies. Assemble and lead cross-functional teams to achieve business impacts.
Workflow Ownership : Manage workflows that curate, create, adapt, localize, and deliver artwork assets. Oversee key workflow components, ensuring their efficiency and evolution, as well as alignment with other promotional workflows where relevant.
Cross-Functional Relationship Management : Develop relationships with close partners in teams such as Product Management, Experience Designs, Data Science, and Engineering to influence decision-making. Build trust and establish authority with key partners.
Partner Leadership : Craft detailed scopes and service expectations. Monitor agency performance and coach for improvements.
Measurement and Reporting : Design scoring and reporting frameworks to draw actionable insights, optimizing workflows and partnerships.
THE SCOPE
The Production Planning team drives business impact through:
Workflow innovations, architecture, and implementation
Workflow analysis and mastery
Issue discovery and articulation of improvement opportunities
Leading workflow pilots and implementing optimizations
Leading internal and external change management
Establishing workflow scoring and reporting with the Partner Management team
Impactful partnerships
Strong leadership presence in the promotional artwork space
Awareness of regional challenges and needs
Understanding production processes for creative assets beyond artwork
Regular partner check-ins and workflow oversight
Creative agency partner management (in close partnership with the Partner Management team)
Partner identification and onboarding
Establishing and managing creative agency partnerships
Rate card creation and negotiation
Project scope consultation and negotiations
SOW & SLA creation
Burn-rate reporting and management
Ongoing feedback and check-ins
Implementation of workflow scoring programs
Informing ongoing partner training and coaching
THE RIGHT STUFF
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 8 years of experience in promotional creative production roles.
Experience designing and leading digital and technology-driven creative workflows.
Operational management experience within, or with, an agency.
Experience building and managing solutions across multiple workflows, teams, and countries.
Skill in articulating complex workflow steps and requirements clearly.
Ability to utilize data to measure impact and tell business stories.
Experience optimizing asset management systems.
A trained eye for discovering new creative and production talent.
Understanding of company values and team goals.
Residency in Singapore or willingness to relocate; hybrid office work and regional travel required.
Proficiency in English; preference for Korean or Japanese speakers.
