Job Description

EBAD seeks a skilled technician for the position Electronics Technician, reporting to the Production Supervisor. The position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities:

The Electronics Technician will execute a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly (and some test) tasks in support of the Electronics Value Stream. Assembly activities include PCBA manufacturing (SMT & thru-hole hand solder), final level electro-mechanical assemblies as well as cable assembly and box builds.

• Assembly of a variety of Electrical / Electro-explosive devices and/or systems per detailed manufacturing and quality instructions

• Assembly of Electronics per IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD requirements (Soldering, Crimping, Staking, Coating, etc)

• Assist engineers in manufacturing process development under direction of engineers written instructions

• Electronic testing using Custom Test Equipment, Oscilloscopes, Meters, Power Supplies, etc.

• Support inventory maintenance of component parts and materials.

• Setup and maintain work cells in accordance with 6S principles.

Requirements:

• Electronics Assembly Experience Required (PCB Assembly and Electro-mechanical Assembly Knowledge)

• Experience working to J-STD & IPC Specifications

• Ability to work to procedures of little detail as well as follow procedures of strict detail

• Must have high school diploma

Desired skills:

• Experience working in a development atmosphere

• Current J-STD-001 with Space Addendum Soldering Certification

• Current IPC-A-610 Inspection Certification

• Current IPC-A-620 Inspection Certification
