JOB DESIGNATION

• The Digital IT Technical Specialist is responsible for the implementation and support of highly secure and resilient information technology solutions and is considered a subject matter expert. • Accountable for delivery of technical systems/solutions, plus the architecture and documentation within their area of technical expertise, supporting division/enterprise environments, while focused on continuous improvement in support of the IT strategic vision and roadmap.

• This position is expect to implement, manage and support both IT systems and IT network Infrastructure across Parker Meggitt’s Fire Safety & Power systems (FSPS) division

• This position is located in Simi Valley, CA

JOB CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the stable, consistent and secure operation of all facets of IT infrastructure including storage, servers, network and telecom solutions.

• Understands business impact; Create and communicate decisions impacting the wider business, effectively managing customer expectations

• Guide and train team members in technical business skills & processes

• Has a broad understanding of Digital and IT strategy across all functions and can assess impact within own area of responsibility.

• Interprets business requirements effectively that can translate to information technology solutions

• Applies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to streamline and improve system efficiencies

• Leads the development and implementation of solutions that address new business requirements, while managing risk on implementation projects

• Performs IT life-cycle management methodologies, including design, system analysis of complex technologies with considerable scope, development, testing, project management (goals and objectives) and change management

• Establishes methods to monitor and improve performance of systems and processes; Identifies deficiencies in IT systems/processes and recommends and/or implements solutions / areas for improvement

• Consistency Documenting/Updating the IT environment and IT policies

• Designs, plans, installs, configures and supports compute, storage & backup infrastructure solutions

• Installs and configures IT application software, including upgrades, updates, and patches, as necessary

• Assists with configuring, installing, and maintaining network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and wireless access points and other network & telecom equipment, as needed

• Implement and maintain security measures, monitor threats, and responding to security incidents as required

• Works with Group IT to migrate workloads to the cloud. Manages and administers the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, and security.

• Configures, manages, and maintains a disaster recovery plan.

Other responsibilities as assigned:

• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education: (REQUIRED) Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or Information Systems is required

Years Experience: Min 5+ years of experience with Information Technology

Experience:

• Experience with server, storage & datacenter management.

• Experience in VMware, Dell Apex VxRail, or Microsoft Hypervisor virtualization.

• Strong technical knowledge and experience managing & maintaining Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 in an enterprise environment

• Practical experience with cloud based compute solution such as Azure.

• Experience in deploying & managing MS SQL environment

• Proficient in backup technologies such as Commvault, Symantec NetBackup, Rubrik, VEEM, or Cloud Backup technologies (Azure).

• Proficient in SCCM, Managing GPOs, Active Directory, and developing PowerShell scripts.

• Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions.

• Good understanding of Network layers.

• ITIL Foundations or Intermediate level certification strong preferred.

WORK AUTHORIZATION:This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must beU.S. Citizenwithin the meaning of ITAR. This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and DoD OPSEC program, which requires the incumbent to be a US citizen

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $100K-$135K plus 10% target Annual bonus.
