General Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Management Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project or construction management, specifically in multidisciplinary facility sustainment, repair, renovation, and new construction. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of project scheduling, on-site inspections, cost estimating, contract preparation, and relevant codes and standards. Experience with medical or healthcare-related facilities and Navy/Marine Corps public works and engineering processes is highly desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project and Construction Management:

  • Oversee multidisciplinary facility sustainment, repair, renovation, and new construction projects.

  • Ensure projects are executed according to plans, timelines, and budgets.

  • Facility Project Scheduling:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.

  • On-Site Project Inspection:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of project sites to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

  • Project Cost Estimating:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates using various methodologies.

  • Monitor project budgets and control costs.

  • Contract Preparation:

  • Develop comprehensive statements of work for turnkey, design-build, and traditional construction/repair contracts.

  • Compliance with Codes and Standards:

  • Apply knowledge of NFPA, ADA, ABA, Unified Facilities Criteria, ASHRAE, and other relevant codes and standards.

  • Ensure all projects meet applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Joint Commission Standards:

  • Maintain knowledge of The Joint Commission Life Safety and Environment of Care standards.

  • Submit and manage reports such as the Electronic Statement of Conditions (e-SOC).

  • Software Proficiency:

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD software for project documentation and design.

  • Navy and Marine Corps Processes:

  • Adhere to Navy and Marine Corps public works and engineering processes.

  • Ensure compliance with Ground Safety, Fire Safety, HAZMAT, and Infection Control standards.

  • Healthcare Facility Project Management:

  • Manage projects in medical or healthcare facilities.

  • Prepare and submit reports such as the Wounded Warrior Annual report.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Proven experience in project or construction management for multidisciplinary facility projects.

  • Strong background in facility project scheduling and execution.

  • Experience with on-site project inspections.

  • Proficient in project cost estimating and methodologies.

  • Skilled in preparing contract statements of work for various construction/repair contracts.

  • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA, ADA, ABA, Unified Facilities Criteria, ASHRAE).

  • Familiarity with The Joint Commission standards and report management.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.

  • Experience with Navy and Marine Corps public works and engineering processes.

  • Experience in medical or healthcare facility project management and related reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in project management or construction management.

  • Previous experience working with military or government projects.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
