Location: Holy Cross Health has two hospitals and four healthcare centers all a short driving distance from Washington DC and Baltimore, MD
Description:
Full-Time 7pm – 7am
Reporting to the Director of Labor & Delivery
High Level of autonomy while collaborating with care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician, Level III NICU team and charge nurse
Responsibilities:
Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage delivery complications
Monitoring fetal heartbeat, as well as administering medication, coaching the mother and assisting with any complications that arise during delivery
Assist and circulate in operating room for cesarean sections, tubal, and emergency obstetric and gynecological procedures
Charting via electronic medical records using Cerner, transitioning to EPIC
Coordinate with the patient safety nurses that are present 24 hours for deliveries, run codes and assist with high-risk deliveries
What you will need:
Required:
1-2 year of experience in Labor & Delivery
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; ASN, basic professional nursing degree (BSN or MSN) preferred
Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.
Pay rate: $37.88 - $54.19
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
