Engineering Department
The Engineer Aide/Mechanic will work under the supervision of an engineer grade MD license IV, MD license III, MD license II, or MD license I.
This position reports to Plant Operations Manager and/or Sr. Engineer
Responsibilities:
Responsible for replacing filters in all HVAC systems and AHU, replace fan belts, grease motor, clean coils, learn the chemical treatment process for boilers and chillers, and daily boilers maintenance.
Maintain the Hospital, answer trouble calls, react appropriately in emergencies, and maintain hospital machinery and equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with the engineering team to implement modifications to the HVAC systems.
This position requires an eligible candidate to complete Maryland V or IV licenses within a year from the day of hire.
What you will need:
Required:
High school graduate or equivalent is required, with courses in shop, mathematics, mechanics, and general science.
Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Ability to understand and manipulate system computers.
Capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints.
Weekend work and shift rotation required
Preferred:
- Technical school in mechanical maintenance, construction, electrical/electronics, and welding is preferred, or a combination of education/training and experience working in maintenance repair and troubleshooting.
Pay Range: $25.17 - $35.23
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
