NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY

The Town of Silver City is accepting applications for the position of WATER CREWMEMBER. Responsibilities include: performing a variety of semi-skilled work requiring specialized knowledge in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater systems piping, valves and accessories. Requirements include: high school diploma or equivalent; NM class D driver[s license, CDL preferred; NM Certification Level I within 18 months of hire. Heavy equipment experience preferred. Two years experience as a laborer, maintenance worker, construction helper or directly related experience; knowledge to read, write and follow oral instructions; specialized knowledge in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater systems piping, valves, and accessories, skill in using tools involved in servicing water and wastewater lines; ability to work weekends and nights; and ability to pass drug and alcohol test.
