Town of Silver City Court Specialist in Silver City, New Mexico

Perform clerical duties for courts of law/municipalities. May prepare docket of cases to be called; secure information for judges and court; prepare draft agendas or bylaws for town or city council; answer official correspondence; keep fiscal records and accounts; issue licenses or permits; and record data, administer tests, or collect fees.

  • One year experience as a full-time clerk or clerk typist
  • Accounting and cash management preferred
  • Court experience/knowledge preferred
  • Experience in data entry and knowledge of court software
    • INCODE
    • Tyler Technology preferred
  • Experience in handling confidential documents
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm
  • Possessstrong people skills to include using tact with sensitive situations
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Above average knowledge of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • NM Class D Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must pass drug and alcohol screening
