General Expectations:
Knowledge and Requirements
· High school diploma, required
· Effective time management skills
· Previous experience as automotive technician, mechanic, or other related field
· Equipment operator experience, preferred
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
· Highly self-motivated
· Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently
· Must be able to lift and move objects up to 75 pounds infrequently
· Acceptable background and clean driving record
· Willing and capable to obtain CDL within 90 days of employment
General Outline of Responsibilities
Conducts minor trailer and rental equipment maintenance (replacing and repairing parts, minor welding and fabrication, wheel end maintenance, lights and wiring, structural repairs etc.).
Provides accurate estimates (time, effort) for repair or maintenance job
Maintains accurate log of work performed and issues
Operates and maintains in good working condition variety of hand, power, and shop tooling
Assist in trailer and equipment movements as requested by management (from purchase origin, on-site, regionally for licensing, inspection, delivery to renters, etc.)
Safe loading and unloading of equipment
Perform new trailer setup and pre-delivery inspection checklist
Coordinate with Adams Maintenance for prep and painting of equipment and major welding/fabricating needs
Complete and timely detailing of equipment
Maintains trailer and equipment appearance for sale to ensure cleanliness inside and out
Maintains safe and clean working environment
Maintains company vision throughout department
Performs other functions as requested by management
Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with company policy to achieve the overall objectives of position and expectations of supervisors
Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action when necessary or suggests alternative courses of action to be taken
