Lenovo is expanding its Cloud DevOps team and looking to hire Senior Engineering Manager, DevOps who will be responsible for customizing and maintaining cloud resources which serve as the platform upon which our internal applications and solutions are hosted/communicate.

The Cloud DevOps team supports the entire organization and is responsible for assisting several teams – platform and solutions, respectively. In this role, you will be managing a talented team of engineers responsible for continuous integration and deployment pipeline, cloud infrastructure for the platform and services, uptime SLA(s), automation of security tool (left shift), and strategic hiring. You will be supported by respective engineering leads, project managers, and scrum masters. In this role, you will empower our teams to continuously improve processes, culture and cultivate the happiness and development of our engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure strategy, aligning it with organization’s business goals, consistently improve system reliability, scalability, and availability through refining goals, processes, and technologies.

• Oversee and maintain the high availability of software deployed on AWS/Azure/Alibaba Cloud platforms.

• Collaborate with engineers to create and maintain infrastructure and engineering standards, documentation, processes, and procedures.

• Embed site reliability and security engineering into all aspects of the cloud infrastructure, ensuring adherence to modern practices.

• Inspire your team to deliver impactful work, fostering collaboration with application/solution teams and business stakeholders.

• Remove roadblocks to ensure your team meets delivery commitments.

• Assist team members in their career growth by understanding their individual goals and provide with opportunities for development.

Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure, supporting cloud-native applications, DevOps and SRE practice.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading a team of 8-10 engineers

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and managing cloud infrastructure, network, security, containers, and identity & access management.

• Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations and a fast-paced environment with frequently evolving business needs.

• Demonstrated ability to lead global DevOps teams, manage offshore squads, and coordinate with third-party vendors.

• Proven track record in recruiting talent, team building, leading, mentoring, and developing globally distributed teams.

• Fluency in at least one of the development languages such as Java, C#, Perl, PHP, or Python.

• Hands-on experience in managing AWS/Azure/Alibaba Cloud, or distributed VMware environments.

• Hands-on experience in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience in source code management (GitHub/GitLab) and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins/Argo CD/Bamboo.

• Extensive experience in infrastructure automation and configuration management across multi-cloud platforms using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Salt.

• Expertise in establishing and maintaining a stable, secure, and a scalable cloud platform.
