We are currently seeking to grow our engineering team dedicated to developing our next generation products in our Research and Development (R&D) department located in Sibiu.

This role is ideally suited for someone who has already started their career. The successful applicant will be joining a newly created team with plenty of opportunity to learn new things and develop skills.

In Sibiu, the activity will take place at SIMEA, for the Smart Infrastructure and Electrical Products team.

Junior Hardware Engineer

  • You will be able to develop electronic assemblies considering hardware architecture, design, quality guidelines and standards.

  • You will create circuit diagrams and supervise the circuit board layout.

  • You will also create test specifications and test setups for design verification tests, carry them out and document the test results.

  • You will automatize tests in the lab.

  • You will carry out EMC measurements during development and develop interference suppression measures to ensure EMC stability.

  • You will also be responsible for creating and further developing simulation models for the electronic trigger unit consisting of hardware and firmware components and physical components using model-based development tools.

Your profile for "Making the future possible"

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in electrical engineering or a comparable qualification.

  • You have initial professional experience in the listed field of responsibility.

  • You have particularly good knowledge of digital and analog circuit technology as well as measurement technology.

  • In addition, you are confident in using circuit simulation techniques, preferably LT-Spice/Spice, and have experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.

  • Initial experience with ECAD tools for hardware development, ideally CR-8000, is an advantage.

  • You have basic knowledge of EMC design and interference suppression of electronic components.

  • Ideally, you have some programming experience in Python and LabView.

  • You put significant importance on meaningful documentation of your design interpretations and the tests carried out.

  • You are fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Personally, you impress yourself with your ability to work in a team, act independently, structured approach, analytical skills and focus on quality.
