Procurement Manager at TSI The Procurement Manager will provide direction to the Procurement department and be responsible for executing and leading the day-to-day tactical procurement activities. In addition, a large portion of this job will be leading the implementation and update of purchase part compliance programs such as RoHS, Conflict Minerals, REACH etc. This position will work with outside consulting and software services, and with the entire supply base to categorize and report on all compliance program requirements. This position is responsible for implementing the proper supply chain acquisition solutions across all the Production Purchasing for TSI Shoreview. Driving the correct processes to ensure the right level of inventory is purchased and maintained to meet the targets established annually by the Supply Chain Metrics for inventory dollar and inventory turns. Also, to manage and direct the Buying Team to ensure all MRP work direction is completed in a timely manner. Also, to ensure all kanban and supplier portal systems are maintained, raw materials are available, forecasting demand to suppliers, supplier performance, negotiating supplier contracts, cost reductions, inventory levels, and terms and conditions favorable to the company are implemented. In addition, the position helps manage the release of new products by working with the strategic commodity group to source with approved suppliers or new suppliers as required. What Will You Need? In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for: * Manage the corporate hazardous material reporting and compliance system, including compliance with EU RoHS, China RoHS, EU REACH, Conflict Minerals, and other global material regulations. * Develop purchasing strategies, partner with suppliers, negotiate discounts while improving supplier performance and mitigating risk. * Ensure raw material availability in accordance to the Production Schedule. * Represent the Supply Chain on daily short parts meetings, drive actions across the supply chain to solution shortages. * Determine replenishment strategies for all parts to insure improved inventory utilization while minimizing material shortage issues. * Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, departmental quality improvement, reduce lead times and improved efficiency. * Perform supplier risk assessments and participate in audits. * Lead and participate in cross-functional teams for lean initiatives, problem solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions. * Manage raw material inventory to meet corporate objectives of working capital and customer service levels. * Lead the Buying team to achieve the annual Supply Chain Metrics. * Track and publish the Buying team metrics on a monthly basis. * Manage the ECO release of purchased materials by sourcing with approved suppliers or new suppliers as required. * Develop and update procedures as required. * Works collaboratively as a business partner with all other departments, locations, and management to address opportunities and mange supplier relationships. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Management Responsibilities This role has direct management responsibilities for procurement personnel. * Leads and manages the Procurement team. This includes establishing objectives, measuring and monitoring performance, and providing timely feedback regarding performance. * Conducts perfo mance mid-year and annual reviews, provides feedback an coaching and makes recommendations regarding compensation, promotion, training, performance improvement plans, discipline and termination of individuals within the procurement team. * Work within TSI to define and execute required training programs to address product, application, process, and technology training needs. This includes working to improve the capabilities, use and understanding of the SAP ERP system with the procurement team. * Work with peers in management to drive the execution of continuous improvement projects. * Participate and Lead various projects within Supply Chain and Operations to drive increased business performance and improved customer satisfaction. What Do You Need? Required * Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, supply chain or a technical field. * 6+ years of purchasing experience. * 2+ years of supervisory/management experience. Desired * APICS or ISM certifications. * SAP experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Lean manufacturing principles. * Implementation of materials management strategies such as Kanban, EDI, MRP, and consignment inventory. * Structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, DMAIC, quality management tools, etc. * Supplier Management experience in areas of scorecards, corrective improvement actions, problem solving.
