What you'll be involved in:

We are seeking an individual to take up the role of Support Technician Apprentice. The role is to provide support across all key areas of Operations including assembly, testing, analysis tools, process control, performance and continuous improvement solutions, quality control, and inspection as required.

During the apprenticeship the successful candidate will get broad exposure to a range of Operations processes, including;

  • Hand assembly of electronic devices using soldering, epoxy and bonding techniques.

  • Working to process specifications, manufacturing instructions and required standards as determined by the product design.

  • To highlight and solve problems as they arise during the testing phase.

  • To complete test documentation accurately.

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities and any new working initiatives.

  • Identify improvement activities and implement solutions where possible.

  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by a member of Operations management.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Individuals will achieve a Level 3 Technical Support Technician Apprenticeship.

What is the duration of the apprenticeship?

  • 48 months

Qualifications

Apprentices must have (or are predicted to achieve) 5 GCSEs at Level 4 (C grade) or above, including Maths and English.
