POSITION SUMMARY

Supervise, direct, and coordinate all material control systems, including but not limited to shipping, receiving, gateways, picking, online material storage and cycle counting. Lead coaching, training, and discipline of team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide supervision, leadership, and direction to all Materials staff
• Monitor, measure and report data integrity to support material related functions : Inventory accuracy, Picking status, Warehouse dispatching, Shipping status, Receiving status, Warehouse dispatching, Put away status, Gateway status, Material availability status and weekly progress.
• Monitor WIP material issue transactions, sub inventory transactions and inventory discrepancies to ensure inventory data accuracy
• Ensure Oracle reflects all unforeseen shortage and all shortages of off-line coaches based on Production's information in order to run a proper Retro Program
• Monitor and ensure resources are available to effectively and efficiently support all Inventory Control activities
• Ensure all issued demands are delivered on time and in the right location
• Ensure all rejects are being processed as per procedure and any rework is being followed up all the way through
• Identify items that require modification to the item's order rules. For example, dock to stock lead times and min max planning, etc.
• Assist in ensuring inventory accuracy and work towards the achievement of inventory goals such as timely release of work orders, reduction of obsolete inventory and inventory adjustments, keeping of sub-inventories, and managing uncontrollable items
• Assist in all areas of budgeting such as Materials supplies, salary/indirect labor, overtime, travel, and communication devices
• Notify Director of any Materials issues that need Director's attention
• Assist in the development, communication and deployment of departmental policies, guidelines and tools to ensure success in all processes.
• Ensure accurate implementation of Engineering Change Orders to released jobs and discrete job accuracy;
• Monitor and maintain the accuracy of Live bus records
• Ensure accurate implementation of MRP and MRB
• Ensure compliance to and promote ISO Procedures, work instructions, and 5 P's
• Promote and facilitate lean manufacturing / 5's programs for materials
• Initiate, facilitate and implement process and material handling improvements
• Manage attendance and overtime for all employees
• Administer collective agreement, safety and all other company policies and procedures
