Job Overview -Product Manager

The Data and Devices business unit of TE Connectivity has an opportunity for a Product Manager for the Internal Cable and Connector product team, based in China.

The Product Manager will have responsibility for identifying cost reduction opportunities then drive cross functional team to achieve gross margin targets that enable long term competitiveness and success of the product line. The product manager will also assist global product managers to accelerate NPI process and improve response time to market.

This role must closely collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues from Engineering, Procurement, Operations to drive cost reductions including NPI key programs as well as PNs in HVM to improve overall ICC portfolio margin.

What you will be doing:

• Understand ICC product design, BOM, process and market price to define should cost

• Conduct competitive analysis

• Early involvement with R&D and Operations in the development of new products to ensure design for cost

• Develop market-based cost targets to align with global product managers to align LZ

• Drive cost reductions including NPI key programs as well as PNs in HVM phase to improve overall ICC portfolio margin.

• Manage the P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for the assigned portfolios (legacy storage GPLs)

• Assist global product managers to accelerate NPI process and improve response time to market.

What your background should look like:

• 7-10 years of product management and/or project management experience

• Relevant product or industry experience desired

• Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on the development of the product strategies and the relevant business plans with the ability to execute

• Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills

• Experienced leader with an ability to influence cross functional teams and to build strong relationships both internally and externally
