Job Description

AECOM is seeking an EHS Consultant (Auditor) to provide support in Shenzhen, China . The consultant will be responsible for ensuring EHS compliance with applicable regulations and client-specific requirements. The role requires an individual that is well organized, an engaging communicator, and is able to function in a collaborative team role while still working independently.

  • Patriciate in or lead the EHS audits to provide support on Supplier Responsibility audits and EHS compliance audit;

  • Utilize risk-based pre-assessment and post assessment method to provide thorough assessments and recommendations;

  • Provide the interpretation of China regulation and enforcement system and provide support to related projects;

  • Actively communicate with project manager and project team to ensure the alignment and implementation of client’s requirement; and

  • Partner with other senior members to provide EHS training to clients and AECOM internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in environmental, chemical, or related engineering majors;

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role working with EHS / Risk solutions implementing medium to large sized projects.

  • Hands on experience managing, implementing, or supporting short or long term project;

  • Knowledge of China EHS regulation and enforcement;

  • Superior communication skills and working individually and as a group;

  • Ability to travel up to 50% to perform field audits on average (travel requirements may fluctuate based on seasonal and project requirements);

  • Recognized professional EHS certification is preferred, such as ISO 14000 auditor, ISO 45000 auditor, Certified Safety Engineer, etc.

  • Excellent English verbal and writing skills;

  • Computer skills including MS Office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Data management experience is a plus; and
