Applied Materials Customer Engineer III-C3-Shenzhen in Shenzhen, China

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates proficiency with primary toolsets and exhibits the capability to acquire additional systems and applications. Performs Tier II startup activities with minimal support and successfully completes qualifications with limited guidance.

  • Executes high-quality repairs, responds promptly to fab-related issues by coordinating with engineers across locations, and participates in escalation conference calls. Proactively contributes to cost reduction and uptime improvement initiatives by driving or supporting relevant projects. Develops and implements action plans and ensures thorough reporting of findings. Verifies the operational quality of system equipment.

  • Adheres strictly to all checklists and procedures, ensuring the correct revisions of procedures and schematics are available before commencing work. Identifies and addresses procedural issues as needed.

  • Capable of performing most equipment retrofits and providing support for process-related issues.

  • Utilizes diagnostic techniques and appropriate documentation, along with test equipment, to resolve issues, often in collaboration with senior engineers.

  • Takes ownership of delivering full customer satisfaction by fostering excellent relationships within the assigned area. Demonstrates deep knowledge of the customer’s business and consistently maintains customer satisfaction through clear and consistent communication and effective knowledge sharing. Operates effectively in high-pressure or ambiguous situations, actively seeking customer feedback and understanding the implications of various actions and decisions on the account. Identifies and escalates potential dissatisfaction issues as appropriate.

  • Develops and implements corrective action plans to address identified issues.

  • Performs Best Known Methods (BKMs) and actively contributes to the utilization of knowledge management systems. Adheres to all Intellectual Property (IP) guidelines.

  • Consistently complies with all safety procedures and prioritizes safety as a core value.
