BD Manager - EM, CN Global Selling

Today, Amazon CN global selling team is operating in multiple Emerging market places. We are looking for a results-driven team leader to drive China-based sellers to maximize their presence and business in emerging marketplaces by building and developing a strong business development team. This role will works with Emerging market place business leaders from product groups to analyze market data to identify trends/strategic opportunities, utilizes extensive network of relationships with the relevant industry to gather market intelligence, and executes on business development opportunities.

The successful Emerging Arc Owner will:

  • Learn about Amazon’s cross border e-commerce business, Seller life cycle, demand and pain point. Develop strategies to identify strategic seller cohort to develop, and optimize their business in Emerging market places.- Develops long-term strategies for Emerging MPs and influences leadership decisions including biz & product roadmap planning;

  • Partner with multi functions (business, product, legal, PR, PP, finance, tax, HR) within Amazon China and WW and facilitate global teams on business goal alignment, resource planning, product feature improvement and operational practices;

  • Understand MP landscape, industry trend, and continuously identify unique opportunities to improve EM awareness/Seller experience and drive Seller business growth and expansion in WW EM MPs;

  • Work autonomously taking full control and responsibility to hire, train and lead a high performing business team to achieve the business result in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment;

  • Summarize and document the best practices to share with WW OOC2EM teams

  • Partner with multi functions (business, product, legal, PR, PP, finance, tax, HR) within Amazon China and WW and facilitate global teams on business goal alignment, resource planning, product feature improvement and operational practices;

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience

  • 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • 7+ years of sales, inside sales, or business development experience

  • Experience building and hiring a sales team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing efficient and scalable sales operations processes

  • Experience defining sales tech requirements for a CRM such as Salesforce
