Job Overview

This role will play a pivotal part in driving pricing excellence across the Hubbell Electrical Solutions (HES) business by leading value optimization initiatives that enhance profitability, market positioning, and customer satisfaction. As a change leader, the Sr. Manager, Market Pricing & Strategy will introduce and implement new quote & pricing related processes and tools, fostering a culture of innovation, adaptability, and standardization across the quoting and pricing function. This role also involves leading and developing a team of quoting and pricing professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for driving pricing strategy alignment across HES, this role combines commercial leadership, analytical expertise, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver results that are tailored to the Hubbell sales organization across various geographic regions, verticals, and/or end markets. The chosen candidate may sit in any Hubbell Electrical Solutions locations - preferably Shelton, CT.

A Day In The Life

• Foster a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, owning or supporting strategic initiatives aimed at driving harmonization of best practices across the pricing center of excellence.

• Build strong partnerships with sales, business unit leadership, and staff aimed at driving strategy alignment and leading by example.

• Lead a team of quotation coordinators responsible for the intake, interpretation, processing, and entry of quote requests into the primary system of record (SAP).

• Lead a separate team of market & strategy pricing analysts responsible for strategy alignment and execution for all large strategic opportunities. This includes developing close partnerships with sales teams and leadership, ensuring all competitive intelligence and commercial implications are considered during the quote preparation and approval phases.

• Ensure the effective design of comprehensive pricing strategies that optimize revenue and profitability by continually assessing evolving market dynamics and business objectives, supported by insightful analytics.

• Design and implement pricing governance frameworks, including approval protocols and audit processes to ensure consistent pricing practices.

• Ownership and responsibility for critical KPI’s around pricing discipline, execution, and cycle time of quotations.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or other analytically rigorous fields. Master’s degree preferred.

• 8+ years of pricing experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, including 4+ years successfully leading and developing teams.

• Proven track record scoping, assessing, recommending, aligning, and implementing change.

• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment.

• Demonstrated experience using business intelligence tools such as MS PowerBi or Tableau to support pricing research and analysis.

• High proficiency with MS Excel, including advanced formulas, VBA, PowerQuery.

• Experience with SAP required, specific experience with SAP Sales & Distribution module preferred.
