Wells Fargo Division Sales Executive - Government in SHELTON, Connecticut
About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Division Sales Executive in Government as part of Commercial Banking. The Government Banking (Gov) Sales Executive will serve as the industry sales leader to the Gov Division Executive and is responsible for designing and implementing strategies to drive sustained and profitable new client acquisition growth across these two industries.
This role will lead the implementation of approved Gov industry strategies to enhance business productivity, promote business growth programs, improve client acquisition techniques, and identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness. Additionally, this role will help foster and reinforce a high performing sales culture; align resources, training, and support; and provide coaching to the Relationship Management teams. In this role, you will:
Build and implement Gov industry sales strategies based on market trends, business goals, and product/service offerings to effectively and efficiently scale the business.
Provide oversight in identifying viable opportunities, developing and implementing consistent calling program, and managing pipeline progression toward New Client Acquisition.
Work with Gov subject matter experts (SMEs) to create and distribute thought leadership and sector insights to be deployed by Gov Relationship Managers (RMs) in the acquisition of new client relationships.
Partner closely with sales enablement, Global Treasury Management (GTM), Public Finance (PF) and other key partners across the enterprise to implement growth strategies and reinforce a continuous improvement sales culture.
Support growth goals, KPIs, prospecting/sales processes, team structure, competitive analysis, new market opportunities, and specific selling methodologies.
Utilize data analysis to forecast sales trends, identify potential opportunities, and mitigate risks.
Align sales strategy plan with marketing, communications, and public relations to enhance brand and social channels to drive the business.Determine and lead attendance/membership/sponsorship at industry events, summits, and conferences.
Drive consistency in setting performance expectations, measuring performance, coaching/developing talent, and identifying training needs and resources for sales force; cultivates high performing teams.
Evaluate and assess effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust as needed.
Continuously work to strengthen risk and control infrastructure around sales procedures, policies, activities, and product placement; identifies and mitigates risk, contributes to improving controls, and participates in issues management when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of Government Banking’s client segments, industries, and clients
Demonstrated experience positioning strategic client solutions, with a focus on Global Payments and Liquidity (GPL)
Executive presence and the ability to drive outcomes through influencing at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Demonstrated strategic vision with the ability to lead execution across multiple priorities simultaneously
Ability to operate in a highly matrixed and global environment with multiple and senior stakeholders
Bachelor's degree

Pay Range:
New York: $138,500 - $287,600 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
