Boeing UK is seeking a Chemical Engineer based in Sheffield or Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Position responsibilities:

  • Engage with cross-functional organizations to define plan, identify responsibilities, and manage plan execution in order to meet engineering, quality, and schedule requirements.

  • Organize and lead projects with cross-functional, multi-disciplined team members to protect BCA airplane production with regards to environmental regulation compliance and material technical obsolescence.

  • Experience with Specifications, Bill-Of-Material (BOM), change process, Safety Data Sheets, Supply Chain are required, and BOM data mining is a plus.

  • Provide support, guidance and direction for Enterprise chemical policy, external engagement and supply chain strategies.

  • Support needs for regulatory and industry meetings, consortia, and workgroups associated with a variety of environmental regulations.

  • Support research, analysis, advocacy, development and implementation for US EPA and EU REACH environmental regulation compliance.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bill-Of-Material (BOM) experience.

  • Chemical risk management experience (Safety Data Sheets experience).

  • Familiar with REACH Compliance and HSE Regulations.

  • Supply Chain Management and Stakeholder Engagement.

  • Experienced in Chemical Processing and Procedures.

  • Metals Chemical processing.

  • Chemical related Degree although matched Experience will be considered.

Preferred qualifications:

  • R&D Experience.

  • Direct Production Support Experience.

  • Supply Chain Support and Qualification.

  • 10-15yrs Experience.

Key skills to be successful in this role:

  • Ability to work independently while being a good team player.

  • Superior organizational and communication skills with capability to work on multiple, diverse projects with multiple programs and functions.

  • Advanced analytical skills; ability to perform high quality structured research and analysis using multi-variable data.

This position is in Sheffield/Glasgow UK and does not offer relocation assistance. Applicants must reside in area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
