JOB REQUIREMENTS: Environmental Coordinator - 51653 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Overview: The Environmental Coordinator will work closely with the company\'s sanitarian, sanitation teams, maintenance teams, and safety leaders to monitor chemical use and provide guidance on hazardous chemical disposal and the consequences chemicals might have at the treatment plants. You will also work closely with the WWTP operators and provide support with operations, DMRs, waste disposal, construction projects, regulation research, etc. The Environmental Coordinator will assist the Yards & Grounds team with any stormwater issues and ensure pond maintenance and wildlife management are safe and comply with regulations. You will be responsible for managing the Sheboygan campus facilities wastewater, stormwater, potable water, air emissions, Tier II and RMPs permits. Responsibilities: * Manage the Environmental and PSM compliance program with federal and state regulations, environmental policies and company procedures across Johnsonville facilities. * Work closely with plant maintenance coordinators, utility leaders and project managers to drive improvement in environmental compliance. * Validate that the PSM program complies with OSHA and EPA standards, by serving as the liaison between safety, engineering and plant refrigeration departments. * Perform internal auditing, environmental training and drive standardization and continuous improvement throughout the organization within the Environmental requirement and Process Safety Management. * This position will interface with State and Federal Agencies and will provide internal guidance on regulatory issues, manage the regulatory compliance of all Johnsonville facilities and support business expansion. * Drive continuous improvement and implementation of the company\'s environmental program and PSM, updating and developing new risk-based programs to promote performance improvements and reduce risk. * Manage the environmental reporting, targets, and metrics. * Communicate significant risk issues to the operations and senior leaders concerning environmental incidents and reporting, root-cause assessments, corrective actions, and non-compliance to drive change and improvements. * Lead the campus hazmat teams and co-lead the corporate PSM/RMP committee. * Serve as Internal auditor to EHS/EMS & PSM Elements internal auditor. * Actively participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that support our operating facilities and lines of business.
