Job Title: Staff AccountantJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Lenexa, KS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting duties, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

• Support internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Accounting

• General ledger

• Reconciliation

• Month-end closing

• Journal entry

• 2-3 years of accounting experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Audit background is a huge plus

• Experience in small to mid-size companies

• Experience in manufacturing is a plus

Work Environment

The position is fully on-site in Lenexa, KS, within a small accounting team. The office environment is casual and family-oriented. There may be a need to travel to Florida once or twice to meet the team of the parent company.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr.
