Aerotek Pharmaceutical Packaging Operator in Shawnee, Kansas

Job Title: Packaging Operator

Job Description

As a Packaging Operator, you will set up, operate, and clear packaging line equipment and/or ancillary support equipment to meet efficiency expectations. You are responsible for replenishing packaging materials like wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, and labeling systems. Inspecting in-process packaging to ensure consistent quality and removing defective products and packaging material are critical tasks. You will segregate finished packaged items that conform to specification and separate rejected items, conduct inventory counts, and monitor packaging and filling operations to ensure quality and conformity to standards. Your role includes preventing potential bottlenecks, pile-ups, and other issues on the production line. You will also perform light-duty maintenance, general housekeeping, and comply with all workplace standards and safety procedures, including equipment setup and changeover activities.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Shawnee, Kansas.

Work Environment

Work in a clean room facility that is temperature controlled. Safety equipment like hairnets, shoe covers, glasses, gloves, and Tyvek suits are provided. Expect mandatory overtime, including Saturdays. Shifts available are 1st shift from 6AM to 2:30PM, Monday to Friday, and 2nd shift from 3:00PM to 1:30AM, Monday to Thursday.
