Job Overview

  • Month end activities and reporting

  • Manage the Fixed Asset inventory to include performance of an annual audit.

  • Responsible for the overall Accounts Payable (A/P) process ensuring vouchers are completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Perform various month-end close procedures including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and various ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

  • Administer the Company’s hourly time and attendance system and other payroll related activities.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as required to support TimberPro business operations and directed by management.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and analyze monthly results.

  • Supports month end, quarter end, calendar end and FY end accounting processes and activities by completing various activities and ad hoc reporting.

  • Assisting with aftermarket invoicing

  • Manage fixed assets records and record acquisition, disposal and depreciation as necessary.

  • Responsible for administering fixed asset physical and ensuring assets have proper asset tags.

  • Verifies and investigates discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.

  • Understand and manage the procure to pay process and research and refine procedures for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

  • Ensures hourly payroll hours are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Manages sales and use tax

  • Responsible for the completion of the 1099 process and other ad-hoc reporting.

  • Drive key projects to assist with driving the department and/or organization forward

  • Cross trains as back up support to other functions but not limited to Accounts Receivable and job costing role as needed.

  • Other ad hoc tasks as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associates degree in Accounting/Business required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of one years’ experience in manufacturing accounting processes and operations.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office specifically Excel. Must have the aptitude and potential to learn Excel reporting tools such as but not limited to pivot tables and VLOOKUP formulas.

  • Experience completing ACH settlement payments.

  • Must demonstrate excellent time management and organization skills which includes the ability to be adaptable and flexible to prioritize workload and multi-task to meet deadlines.

  • Must have the ability to build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization, vendors, and customers.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter, take initiative and work independently.

  • Must be process oriented and have a continuous improvement mindset for efficiency and productivity.

  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Infor CloudSuite Industrial (CSI v10) or Syteline experience is a plus

  • Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy in all tasks and projects

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as this position has access to sensitive documents, such as but not limited to P&L, balance sheet invoicing and pricing.
