Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities:

• Take total ownership of one or more New Product Development projects

• Unite the Core Team toward a common objective

• Manage resources:

o Ensure the project is “staffed for success”

o Negotiate with functional managers and Project Approval Committee (PAC) to alleviate resource constraints as needed

• "Discipline the System"

o Ensure that the team are operating according to the development process

o Keep people focused on the matters at hand as well as their area of responsibility

o Report out project status to PAC following contract date

• Be proactive to take actions and get thing done

• Resolve conflict and controversial issues

Qualification:

• 8-10years working experience in project management area or equivalent

• Leadership proven skills in leading, developing, and managing teams

• Demonstrated ability to create effective project plans

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to cable assembly products preferable

• Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become significant issues

• Knowledge of a matrix organization and how to navigate it

• Project management expertise to drive time to market balanced with commitment to quality

• Ability to manage uncertainty

• A conceptual thinker with strong attention to detail

• Understand design for manufacturability (DFM)

• Good oral English.
