Abbott Sr. Professional Education Consultant in Shanghai, China

Major Accountabilities

  • On-site assessment and selection of target participant candidates and hospitals to ensure the selections result in optimal quantity and quality of participants and therapy approaches adoption rates for the Abbott Professional Education Program.

  • Onsite (DSA Room) and wet lab instruction and consultation of participants in the entire process of the development of EP procedures. This includes working with designated outside-Abbott consultants (course instructors and on-site proctors) to ensure effective participant therapy approaches adoption rates and high-quality surgical results.

  • Demonstrate Abbott advanced technologies and procedural excellence to best teach, model participants how to achieve optimal surgical and patient results with selected Abbott technologies and therapy approaches while consulting in the DSA, hospital and wet lab. 

  • Support specified Abbott Professional Education events, professional congresses, symposiums etc.

  • Complete documentation of: target assessment, pre-course preparation, surgical observation, post-course evaluation and support, EP surgical cases (quantity and surgical results). Compliance with all Abbott administrative and reporting procedure. This includes; Data Analysis Report, Trainee Evaluation, Weekly, Monthly and Expense reporting.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Numbers of physician trained;

  • Procedure successful rate (e.g.: SVT to AF);

  • Procedure complication rate;

  • Abbott technology utilization rate;

  • Completion of the required documentation: peri-program assessment, evaluation, training records, data analysis report, and weekly, monthly and expense reports.

Ideal Background

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree from recognized Medical College + 2 years hospital internship

Preferred: Master Degree of Cardiology. English (oral and written)

Experience/Professional Requirement:

  • Minimum one-year clinical experience in recognized hospital-based cardiology program

  • Preferred:

  • Minimum one year of Clinical Application, Marketing, Sales or related experience with an international or well recognized local medical device company

  • PC Skills: MS Office and its applications; Windows; Word, Excel, Access (as user); strong communication and interpersonal skills; business and customer -oriented approach.
